On Wednesday 8th June, I was the guest speaker at the Rotary Preston branch meeting. Geoff and David had previously been to visit the VASS site and were keen for me to let the members know about the project. I spoke on behalf and about Gerard and his love of gardens and how the Food Forest project came about. I filled them in on how Gerard had teamed up with Andrew and the Global Gardens of Peace and Deborah Halpern. I was really well received and had lots of photos. I also used videos from this website so Gerard and Andrew could explain exactly what the project is all about and what it means to them. There were lots of questions and most members came up to me for a chat afterwards. We are all looking forward to working together to bring Gerard’s living legacy to life.
